is supplied as is. The author disclaims all warranties, expressed
or implied, including, without limitation, the warranties of
merchantability and of fitness for any purpose. The author

4Shell is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge to
the user for evaluation. Feel free to share it with your friends,
but please do not give it away altered or as part of another
system. The essence of "user-supported" software is to provide
personal computer users with quality software without high prices,
and yet to provide incentive for programmers to continue to develop
new products. If you find this program useful and find that you
are using 4Shell and continue to use 4Shell after a reasonable
trial period, you must make a registration payment of $20.00 to
ZPAY Payroll Systems. The $20.00 registration fee will license
one copy for use on any one computer at any one time. You must
treat this software just like a book. An example is that this
software may be used by any number of people and may be freely
moved from one computer location to another, so long as there is
no possibility of it being used at one location while it's being
used at another. Just as a book cannot be read by two different
persons at the same time.
Commercial users of 4Shell must register and pay for their copies
of 4Shell within 30 days of first use or their license is
withdrawn. Site-License arrangements may be made by contacting
ZPAY Payroll Systems.
Anyone distributing 4Shell for any kind of remuneration must first
contact ZPAY Payroll Systems at the address below for authorization.
This authorization will be automatically granted to distributors
recognized by the (ASP) as adhering to its guidelines for shareware
distributors, and such distributors may begin offering 4Shell
immediately (However ZPAY Payroll Systems must still be advised
so that the distributor can be kept up-to-date with the latest
version of 4Shell.).
You are encouraged to pass a copy of 4Shell along to your friends
for evaluation. Please encourage them to register their copy if
they find that they can use it. All registered users will receive
a code to remove the shareware registration screen.

1 What is 4Shell?
4Shell is a Windows Application that will control and operate the
popular 4Print and 4Book programs under Windows. 4Shell will
allow you to set the different command line options of 4Print and
4Book and save them as your default selections. 4Shell will
"shell" from Windows, call up 4Print or 4Book and return to
Windows with no cumbersome dropping to DOS or other complicated
methods. 4Shell will allow you to set the commands, pick the
files to print from a pick list of files on your computer and
then call 4Print or 4Book to perform the exciting task of
printing multiple pages on one sheet of paper by your choice.
2 How To Install 4Shell
You must have copies of 4Print and 4Book to use the 4Shell
program. If you do not have these two programs contact your
favorite shareware distributor or search out a copy on your
favorite BBS system.
o Copy the 4Shell Files
Copy the two 4Shell files into the directory that you have
4Print and 4Book installed. The two files are 4SHELL.EXE
and 4SHELL.HLP. 4SHELL.HLP is necessary if you want to be
able to access the extensive help files of 4Shell.
o Start Windows
o Open the Program Manager Window
Add a program item to a group you want to add the 4Shell
icon.
- Open the group window for the group you want to add
the icon. This might be your word processing group
or possibly your utilities group.
- Choose "New" from the "File" menu.
The 'New Program Object" dialog box appears.
- Select "Program Item" and choose "OK".
- Type the description you want to be displayed under
the icon.
Example:
4Shell
- Type the path and file name of the 4Shell program.
This is the path that you copied the 4Shell program
files into above.
Example:
C:\4PRINT\4SHELL.EXE
- Choose "OK"
The dialog box disappears and your icon is
displayed in the group box.
3 The 4Shell Screen
Select the 4Shell icon. When you select the 4Shell icon the
4Shell screen appears in a small window.
